This department has established two specialized groups, namely the "Power Engineering Group" and the "Energy Application Group." In the curriculum, during the first two years, there is no differentiation, and all courses are based on the fundamental subjects of steam engine engineering. The "Power Engineering Group" is built on electromechanical integration and emphasizes theoretical research and practical simulation training in power systems. It focuses on the thermal science of ship structures and systems and conducts research on power plants for marine, land, and aerospace applications, fostering students' abilities in simulation analysis and fault diagnosis. On the other hand, the "Energy Application Group" is grounded in the theory of steam engine engineering and utilizes electromechanical integration techniques. It collaborates with practical engineering applications to enhance the energy efficiency of power systems and explore future alternative emerging energy sources, providing economic benefits and environmental protection for power plants. The curriculum strengthens the foundational professional courses in mathematics, mechanics, and electrical engineering. In addition to theoretical courses, there are also various experimental and internship programs, placing equal emphasis on theory and practical application. The curriculum is aligned with the requirements of the STCW International Convention and considers students' career development after graduation. Compared to traditional mechanical or electromechanical-related programs, graduates of this department have a more diversified range of career options. The job market spans across marine, land, and aerospace industries, offering broader prospects for future development.

This department offers a "Bachelor's-Master's Five-Year Consecutive Program" that allows students to directly apply to the department's graduate master's program, enabling them to obtain both a bachelor's and master's degree in as little as five years. The advantages of applying for the five-year consecutive program are as follows:

1.Generous Scholarships: To encourage applications and enrollment in the master's program at our school, students who qualify for the five-year consecutive program and enroll in the master's program during the first semester will receive a scholarship of 10,000 dollars. Additionally, students in the top 20 percent of their undergraduate class rankings will receive an additional 10,000 dollars scholarship. Those who qualify as low-income households will receive an additional 10,000 dollars scholarship. This means that eligible students can receive a maximum scholarship totaling 30,000 dollars.。

2. Cost Savings: Students applying for the five-year consecutive program can potentially exempt up to three-quarters of the master's degree credits. Based on the current cost of one graduate credit being 1,450 yuan, this could result in a maximum savings of 26,100 yuan. If a student successfully completes the five-year program with their advisor's approval, they can graduate one year earlier compared to master's students at other institutions.

3.Tuition Fees: Graduating one year early results in one less year of tuition fees.。

4.Time-saving: It is possible to obtain both a bachelor's and master's degree within a minimum of five years.
